Studiengebühren	4.100 € pro Semester The schedule of tuition fee payment is determined on the basis of consulate/visa regulations. In case of applicants coming from visa restricted countries, payment of the full tuition fee (1st and 2nd semester) is required. Details will be indicated in the letter of admission. Tuition fee refund policy: Those who are admitted to the Faculty must arrive within maximum 30 days after the official beginning of the study period and complete their enrolment to the university. The beginning of the study period can be found in the Academic Calendar uploaded to the Faculty website. If they fail to arrive until this deadline, they cannot enrol and cannot start their studies in that particular academic year. In this case, applicants are entitled for the 50% refund of their tuition fees after submitting a request for the refund until 15 October (in case of fall semester) or until 15 March (in case of spring semester). To this request, the applicants must attach official documentation that proves the reason why they cannot start their studies at the Faculty is visa denial. The proof may be an official letter concerning the rejection. Other reasons of no-show are not accepted. No refund is possible if requests are submitted after the deadlines above or the appropriate official document is missing. In case the tuition fee is not refunded, the applicants can start their studies in the semester when the programme is next launched. The entrance exam result is valid for one year after that the applicants have to take a new entrance exam for the admission. By submitting the application to the Faculty, the above mentioned rules are automatically accepted by the applicant, and are no subject to further negotiations.

Applicants needs to have at least 60 credits from the following topics: a. mathematical and natural sciences rudiments (at least 15 credits): calculus, numerical analysis, discrete mathematics, linear algebra; b. computer science rudiments (15 credits): logics, design and analysis of algorithms, automata and formal languages, theory of computing, artificial intelligence basics; c. information technology rudiments (at least 30 credits): software technology, databases and information systems, computer architectures, computer networks; Applicants with less than 60 credits, but at least 30 credits from the list given in A ) will be a. either requested to take a preparatory 0th semester during which all the missing courses can be taken, b. or requested to take extra lectures at the beginning of a semester to acquire the necessary knowledge. Applicants with less than 30 credits from the list given in A ) cannot be accepted to the MSc program. Admission score: max 100 points ● qualification of the diploma (max 20 points), ● grades of main (non-elected) bachelor courses which are listed in point G (max 50 points), ● oral (skype) interview (max 20 points), ● further extras: publication, participation in competitions, etc (max 10 points). The aim of the programme is to train computer scientists who, based on the theoretical foundations that ensure the development of their knowledge in the long run, are able to perform the creation, development, implementation, application, operation and servicing of information technology (IT) systems independently as well as in group work. They also have the modelling skills necessary to solve complex IT-related tasks in various application fields. They are able to perform and coordinate IT research tasks. Our programme provides solid theoretical background necessary to pursue PhD studies.

The main subjects include mandatory mathematical and fundamental computer science studies (23 credits), mandatory computer science studies (24 credits), elective core studies in mathematics and computer science (13 credits), elective computer science studies (24 credits), free choices (6 credits), thesis work (30 credits) and project oriented internship (240 hours at an IT company or in a research lab at our institute).
