Studiengebühren | 5.000 € pro Semester The schedule of tuition fee payment is determined on the basis of consulate/visa regulations. In case of applicants coming from visa restricted countries, payment of the full tuition fee (1st and 2nd semester) is required. Details will be indicated in the letter of admission. Those who are admitted to the Faculty must arrive within maximum 30 days after the official beginning of the study period and complete their enrolment to the university. The beginning of the study period can be found in the Academic Calendar uploaded to the Faculty website. If they fail to arrive until this deadline, they cannot enrol and cannot start their studies in that particular academic year. Other reasons of no-show are not accepted. No refund is possible if requests are submitted after the deadlines above or the appropriate official document is missing. In case the tuition fee is not refunded, the applicants can start their studies in the semester when the programme is next launched. The entrance exam result is valid for one year after that the applicants have to take a new entrance exam for the admission. By submitting the application to the Faculty, the above mentioned rules are automatically accepted by the applicant, and are no subject to further negotiations. |

Applicants are not required to provide the English language exam certificates who are natives of certain countries and can officially demonstrate that their academic studies have been conducted in English. The list of countries is available on the following website: If the medium of instruction was English during the Msc studies, the MSc diploma can be accepted as language exam certificate for the entry requirement. For this purpose a document issued by the university has to be uploaded until the application deadline certifying that the medium of instruction was English during the master studies. Übersicht
The Doctoral School of Physics is based on the research fields of astrophysics, biophysics, laser physics, optics, radiology and nuclear medicine, solid state physics and laser-matter interaction, theoretical and mathematical physics. The School offers graduate courses in a broad range of physics, including atomic and molecular physics, optics and laser physics, material science, mathematical physics, astrophysics, biophysics, clinical radiology and nuclear medicine. Well-equipped laboratories are available for experimental research projects. Facilities include several high intensity and ultrashort-pulse lasers; atomic force, optical and electron microscopes; spectrographs; vacuum chambers; clinical CT, MR and SPECT equipment; a computer network, and an astronomical observatory. The research projects are funded by national (OT KA, NFÜ) and international (mainly EU ) agencies.
