Studiengebühren 3.500 € pro Semester

The schedule of tuition fee payment is determined on the basis of consulate/visa regulations. In case of applicants coming from visa restricted countries, payment of the full tuition fee (1st and 2nd semester) is required. Details will be indicated in the letter of admission.
After a successful admission process, applicants are expected to arrive and academically register until the third week of September in the fall intake and until the third week of February in the spring intake. Exceptionally, they can still participate in the Academic Registration on the 4th week of the semester. If they fail to arrive by this deadline, they cannot register academically and cannot start their studies in that particular academic year.

In case of visa rejection or other circumstances beyond the applicant’s control which prevent the applicant from starting their studies, a postponement for the next academic year/semester or a full refund can be requested. To request a refund, applicants must submit an official refund request along with the official documentation that proves the reason why they cannot start their studies. Please contact the Registrar’s Office regarding the necessary steps at registrarsoffice.btk@szte.hu.

Bewerbungsgebühr 35 € pro Programm

The 35 EUR Application Fee (non-refundable) is payable by programmes: as many programmes is indicated on the application form as many times 35 EUR should be paid.

Prüfungsgebühr 250 € einmalig

Please note that then Entrance Exam Fee is non-refundable.

Übersicht

The Doctoral School of Literary Studies offers a number of 4-year programmes for international students, including
Comparative Literature, English and American Literature,
French Literature,
German Literature,
Italian Literature,
Russian Literature,
Classical Philology, and
Neo-Latin Literature.
These programmes combine the history and theories of literature with relevant artistic and medial examples, as well as social and cultural perspectives. Except for specific national programmes (in French, German, Russian, and Italian literature), all programmes are in English. Students participate in workshop seminars, acquire professional skills in analysis and composition, and receive individual guidance throughout their research work, up until the completion of their dissertations.

Karrieremöglichkeiten

Holders of a PhD in Literary Studies may pursue a career in academia and education, or may choose to work for cultural organizations, publishing and media companies, national or local administration, or in the creative industry.
