Tuition fee | €3,500 per semester The schedule of tuition fee payment is determined on the basis of consulate/visa regulations. In case of applicants coming from visa restricted countries, payment of the full tuition fee (1st and 2nd semester) is required. Details will be indicated in the letter of admission. In case of visa rejection or other circumstances beyond the applicant’s control which prevent the applicant from starting their studies, a postponement for the next academic year/semester or a full refund can be requested. To request a refund, applicants must submit an official refund request along with the official documentation that proves the reason why they cannot start their studies. Entry qualification | Graduate / Masters' Degree (or higher) Application requirements: MA degree, at least B2/intermediate level proficiency certified by an accredited language examination or otherwise a research proposal and an individual interview in person or online. Please choose a topic proposal and contact the doctoral school and the supervisor before submitting your application. Who should apply? We expect applicants to be interested in theoretical, historical, typological and applied issues of languages. It is an advantage if the applicant has a Hungarian language and literature MA, Foreign languages MA, or Theoretical/Applied Linguistics MA. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. Academic Records in English or certified translation. You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university. |

Language requirements | English Language of the programme is English; Apart from the knowledge of the investigated Uralic language, some knowledge of German or Russian (reading, understanding) and at least intermediate level proficiency in English or Hungarian is required. |
